Pet first aid course to be offered at Ridgefield firehouse

Pet First Aid and CPR will be offered at the Ridgefield fire department, 6 Catoonah Street, Sunday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m.
“This class is perfect for animal shelter volunteers, pet sitters or any pet lover,” said instructor Beth Perlman.

Father, Daughter Admit To Starving Pet Dog

A 44-year-old Crest Hill man and his 19-year old daughter have admitted in plea deals that they starved their pet dog to death.
Mark Obidowicz of Crest Hill was sentenced to one year in prison Monday for aggravated animal cruelty.
